    SOLVED Using font awesome fa-lg, fa-2x, etc

    Posted 11 years 4 months ago
    • Hi all

      Sorry if this is a stupid question.
      I want to use the bigger icons on my website hcm-m.ch. Unfortunately it does not work.
      The basic font awesome things work: http://www.hcm-m.ch/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=557

      But when I try to use bigger icons it just does not work.
      I have changed the global.less file under templates/gantry/less according to some info from the forums
      // @import "jui/less/font-awesome.less"; -> updated to the new font awesome
      @import "jui/less/font-awesome/font-awesome.less";
      Could anyone point me in the right direction?
      Thanks a lot
      Joao

    • Gantry only supports fontawesome 3.2 - not fontawesome 4.

    • For the original poster, that was hardly a dumb question. Gantry only supports FA 3.2?? I haven't seen that info anywhere. I've been having a difficult time getting my icons exactly the way I want them and this is probably my answer. I thank you but I sure wish it had been common knowledge. (or more obvious to myself anyway)

    • Sorry, but I can't answer your question at the moment as I don't know what are plans are for implementing fontawesome 4. It may be that older templates carry on using fontaweseom 3 and only new templates get fontawesome 4... Honestly I cannot say at this time.

      Sorry I can't be more help.

      Regards, Mark.
