SOLVED Add Spacer to module

    • As gantry 5 currently is setup you can assign a spacer to a template layout position, but there is not the possibility to create a joomla module with a space particle inside. This means that if you want the space to appear only on certain pages you have to either
      1) create different layouts, with / without the spaces
      2) do with css

However in both cases it is much more complicated that if you were able to create a module with a particle space which then can be assigned to which ever menu items you want. Is it possible to make a request for this functionality?

      Thanks, James

    • You can already do that? Create a module position on the layout instead of the spacer of the same allotted space. Then createa customHtml module and assign it to that position (for the pages you want the space). If no module is published to the position it will collapse and not occupy any space.

      Is that what you mean?

      Regards, Mark.

    • I don't understand the logic...

If you want something flexible where the space only appears on certain pages, how would embedding a space into your module help? The space would appear on all pages with that logic forcing you to create another module with different, or no, spacing as desired...

Why isn't #1 a good option? You can use the same module, on any page, and dynamically control how much space it has on a per page basis

    • Hi Mark I follwod you intruction and created a custom html module called space and insert <div class="spacer></div>. Now it works just like a particle spacer and it can be assigned to whatever page I like. Thanks
