SOLVED No apparent way to delete a particle from the menu editor

Posted 9 years 4 days ago
    • Hi,

I cannot see any way of deleting a particle from under a menu item? Normally you can click and drag a particle to a 'delete' button/area which appears at the top of the page. This works ok for modules but appears to be missing for particles and I cannot delete them??

i.e. 'local info' and 'logo' particles from attached screenshot

      Thanks,

      Adrian

    • I just tried it and it works fine. Make sure you have latest version of Gantry 5 and template installed.

Check your browser console for any error messages.

    • Wierd - I've got Gantry 5.2.15 and requiem 1.1.3 but as you can see from the screenshot below (I've taken it 'mid-drag') there's definitely no delete button appearing??

Is there another way? I'm using firefox btw but I doubt that's the problem ...

      Cheers,

      Adrian

    • There is no other way. I suspect that you will be getting a JS error in the browser console caused by another extension.

Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and i'll have a look for you.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Hi,

It doesn't look like a browser problem - no errors in the console and it happens with both chrome and firefox. But thanks for taking a look.

      Regards,

      Adrian

    • I don't know why that was not working as I could add additional particles and remove those - just not those two particles that were already there. Anyway, I fixed this for you by creating a new "home" menu item with the same settings and assignments and then trashing your existing home menu item. This has got rid of those particles for you and it all seems fine now.

      Regards, Mark.
