    • I was wondering if there is anything out there I (or perhaps planned) to showcase all particles available.

I have noticed the templates demo seem to only showcase certain ones depending on which template you are looking at. I realize its probably not feasible to have one of every particle displayed with each monthly template which makes me wonder if it's possible to have a dedicated showcase somewhere.

I have also am wondering if there is some import/export utility available? I have been able to copy particles from one template to another via FTP, but hope to see an easier way to do this?

      Thanks!

Since we improve and add new features to particles a static page of existing particle states might not be that helpful.

There are plans to make particle integration easier. For those of us that develop on local servers copying over a particles *.yaml and *.html.twig file isn't an issue.

However your correct in that if your developing on a remote site than FTP or your Cpanel upload feature are the only ways to copy over the pertinent files.

    • Thanks Dan. I guess documentation of some sort is probably out the question too? ;) It's just a little overwhelming as each particle if highly customizable, each with their own parameters and styling.

If there's more coming, keeping up will be a challenge too!

      Cheers!

To be fair when Gantry 5 first came out I didn't know my yamls from twigs
As I'm NOT a coder but a designer I didn't look forward to this at all. However having an inkling of what PHP and JS look like I found that the YAML and TWIG language were constructed to be easier to understand than a lot of languages out there.

Yes particles are highly customizable but if you look at some of my Particle customizations here -> AMP Series you'll see that the BASIC structure of our particles is very similar in coding even though they do some very different things ;)

    • Hi DanG,

Is there a tutorial on how exactly to copy a particle from one theme to another in Wordpress?

More specifically, I really like the "Testimonial" particle in Xenon, but would like to use it in the Ambrosia theme where it is not there.

Thank you so much for your help with this!
