SOLVED Vertical menu

Dear all,
I need a vertical menu to start my new template. How can I do this to have a menu vertical instead of horizontal? The vertical menu should be published on the left side, the submenus of each menu entries should open the entries sliding to right.
Do anyone have a solution and a example page?

- I have the same problem. I have been using RocketTheme templates for over 10 year, and for the past several month have beein using Gantry 4 Iridescent template. I wanted to upgrade to Gantry 5 - but as many have said the movement from Gantry 4 template to Gantry 5 has a very difficult learning curve. But I decided to try once again, only to be stymied by the lack of a general supported Vertical Menu. This is a show stopper for me as I use different permission levels for what items show up in my current vertical menu. So for now I will stay with Iridescent - not very satisfying.
