SOLVED Do particles load faster compared to standard Joomla modules?

Hi,
I pretty much see the benefits of the Gantry 5 particles. I just wonder if there is any difference in terms of loading speed in favor of these particles compared to the standard Joomla modules.
Do you have any thoughts on this?

Well it depends which particle and which module your are talking about. There's huge variation in complexity in both particles and modules. It practical terms though, comparing like with like, you won't notice any difference. The advantage of particles is really in development of new ones, modifying existing ones, and ease of configuration. The other thing about particles is that they are CMS agnostic - i.e. you can load up a particle in Joomla and it will do the same as the same particle in Wordpress.
