Hi everyone and thanks in advance for the collaboration.
(Sorry for my english)
I see that Joomla / Gantry 5 in the basic version (Helium) does not have the contact component.
I would like to avoid installing third-party extensions because I should change anyway the contact form with Joomla additional fields.
Is it possible to re-install the Joomla core contact component? Did I ever have to reinstall a basic component, how do I proceed?

The "contact" component is actually part of Joomla. You just create a menu item of type "single contact".

but I do not understand.
I create a "single contact" menu item, but when it asks me to link it to a contact element, what do I do?
I do not see the contact component, so I can not create / configure contacts; so, what do I link to the menu item?

I've no idea why the contact component is missing from your site since it's a fundamental part of Joomla. Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and I'll have a look for you.

You have a corruption in your joomla database tables - please provide phpmyadmin access and I'll correct this for you.
