Good day, please advise is it any option in Gantry 5 to set up the link to thumbnail image to show web-site link with desirable image, but not with just of header fragment?

You need to add an og:image meta in the "page settings" header section of the base outline. Plus the other associated meta's too.

And have you asked facebook to rescrape your site? It only updates when facebook next scrape your site.
