I added the swipe particle to the Base Outline. I just want it on the front page, but since the outline is assigned to every page the particle also appears on every page.
And thought I knew what to do, but that doesn't work
I DID THIS
1) I duplicate the Base Outline and called the copy Home-particle_bio. I assign that outline just to the front page and
2) In Base Outline I then deactivate the swipe particle. It's there, but grey.
BUT
1) Even if I duplicated a nice and working outline, the menu colour changed to black in the copy. It was red.
2) Even if I (thought I) deactivate the swipe particle, and it turned grey, it still turns up on every page.Do I have to delete it? I'm afraid to loose the information
HOW
1) How can I duplicate a ouline and get the same menu colour and same swipe size?
2) How can I turn off the swipe particle in Base Outline?
Is your Swiper Particle on your new Outline Inheriting the Base Outline? If so, go to Settings > Inheritance and change it to None.
Check your Menu Particle and Section settings to see if any classes have been added to your Base Outline that are not on your new Outline. Compare the Styles Tabs between the 2 Outlines as well.
Just delete the Swiper Particle from the Base Outline.

I tried all this. But it didn't make any difference. There was no Inheritance to the Swiper Particle and there was no difference in settings or class between Base Outline and the new outline.
I tried and tested several things, but finally I found that it doesn't help to edit the Base Outline, there is a Default_bio outline that is the boss. It works on all the pages. And it doesn't inherit the settings from Base outline.
I guess I made the changes to the default oultline long time ago, and it's probably not the way it should be.
So I had to dupicate Default_bio outline and make the home outline. Then deactivate the swiper on the default and assign the new outline to home page/menu
