SOLVED Gantry Parameters page tooltips broken

Hi Guys,
I didn't know where else to stick this one, so please feel free to move it where ever you deem fit, but...
I'm having problems with the tooltips on the Gantry parameters page on all the new Gantry templates.
This image is hidden for guests.
Please log in or register to see it.
As you can see, the tooltips are extending off the side of the browser window and are unreadable. This is happening with both Firefox and IE. - Last Edit: 15 years 9 hours ago by James_Lewis_Evolvement.

- its not the tooltips per say, it's the whole width thing, there should be a left column in your template details that has instructions and stuff. without this column there's no where for the tooltips to display.

Hey Andy,
Thanks for the quick response. I did notice that the first couple times I'd used a new Gantry template, it was fine (both columns were there), but that was fairly early and my experience has been that the two-column layout is definitely the exception, not the rule, at least on my installs!
Any clue what could be causing it to display in one-column format? And even so, shouldn't the tooltips be able to detect the edge of the browser window and display on the other side of the mouse like a normal tooltip?
Granted, it's not a 'critical error' type of problem, but there has been an occasion or two where I've been really needing the tooltips to try and figure out the new Gantry system and what does what. - --

- I think you removed all the HTML in the templateDetails.xml 'description' element.

Sorry for the tardy reply! License ran out and couldn't get access to the forums until I renewed it just now.
Regarding the templateDetails.xml, I sure haven't removed anything from there, or even touched this file, as far as I know.
Is there any way that this file could be altered inadvertently?
In doing some further testing, I notice that when I use the rocketlauncher, the template admin page is fine, but when I install a fresh copy of Joomla, THEN use the joomla installer to upload and install the template, the template page is broken.
So I don't think it's anything I'm doing 'in person' as it were... - --

- just download the template again and copy back the original xml file. There's probably no reason you would have modified it.

Hi Andy,
I'm really sorry to be a pain, but replacing the templateDetails.xml file didn't do anything to solve the problem.
In addition, I did check the templateDetails.xml file before replacing it and couldn't see any difference at all between the old one and the one that comees from a brand-new, fresh download of the template.
I've attached the templateDetails.xml file to this reply as well so you can verify that it's intact.
I know this isn't something that's uber-critical, but at the same time, I can't figure out why it's happening and it is somewhat of a pain as the information in the tooltip help popups can not be found anywhere else as far as I know. - --

Thank you very much for taking a look at this for me.
Just for documentation purposes, in case anyone else has this problem and searches the forums... :cheesy:
The issue was with our customised Admin template. It just needed a little tweaking as it was interfering with the RT gantry admin page. - --
