    Template can't detect Gantry 5 on installation

    • I'm trying to install the Kraken template on an existing Rockettheme site (a stageing site) and I keep getting the message:


      Error
      Please install Gantry 5 Framework before installing Kraken template!



      I did in fact install Gantry 5 first, but Kraken isn't seeing that. So I uninstalled Gantry 5, reinstalled and get the same error message when trying to install Kraken.

      The exisitng site uses Gantry 4 & the Myriad theme & works just fine. All of my server specs are up to date -- Joomla 3.4.1 and PHP 5.4.45.

      I did not uninstall Gantry 4, but disabled it.

      Any ideas?

    • Try assigning your Default HOME menu item to use the "Template Style" of one of the Kraken outlines. You can only use Gantry 5 compatible templates with the Gantry 5 Framework.

    • Thanks for the reply, but I honestly can't figure out what you're referring to. Kraken won't install, so I can't select it.

      Not sure what I'm missing...

      OK, there must've been a cache problem yesterday, though I cleared it multiple times. However, today Kraken installed just fine.

    • OK, I spoke too soon, apparently. Kraken is installed, but there's a message in the Template Manager that I still need to install Gantry 5.

    • I'm having this same issue. How did you fix it?
      I just cleard cache a bunch of times and have G5 installed but it keeps saying it is not when I try to Install the template.
