Save Layout for Use with Multiple Gantry 5 Templates?

    • How would one go about saving the Gantry 5 layout within a specific template in order to use with another template?

    • You wouldn't. It's not possible to do that.

    • It would be a very helpful feature, given the requirement to define layout these days!

    • You can always manually copy the layout.yaml generated in the template 1 and copy it over in the template 2.

    • And where whould this yaml be? I would like to edit the current modified template to add a vertical section, but all I can find is the files representing the ones that are preset (in templates/g5-hydrogen/layouts/home.yaml). I changed this in a text editor to add a new vertical section and now this SEEMS to be the default overriden when I made the last update to the gantry framework.
What is the path to the current yaml for (in my case) "Default-home"?
I do not wish to reload defaults as it will rename my sections.

    • /template/templatename/custom/config/xx/layout.yaml

Where "templatename" is your template name and "xx" is the outline ID.
