Edit Readmore Style in Category Blog

- I am trying to change the style on the readmore buttons in a category blog layout. The button currently includes an icon arrow in front to the word Readmore. I would like to remove the icon (arrow) so that only the word "readmore" is visible when referencing id="system-readmore". Elsewhere on my site (using other styles) the icon does not proceed the word readmore and so while i suspect I have to add a line to custom.scss but am not sure what to add. Thanks in advance.
