Joomla Rocketlauncher Updates (Joomla Security Patches?)

I searched "joomla updates" but my specific topic didn't come up. This may fall into the joomla.com forums, but directional help is appreciated since I usually use Rocket Launcher site Installs.
Is there a forum or discussion thread on how to update rocket launcher (perhaps it's rocketlaunched?) installs versus webhost joomla install and updates?
Is it as simple as taking some zip file from somewhere and FTPing files overtop the vulnerable files for RocketLaunched sites?

generally there should not be any problem upgrading Joomla no matter the template. Occassionally there are conflicts but we do not know unless we upgrade and realize an unexpected conflict (of course you would need to report any issues ASAP).
1. Back up (Akeeba Back up for Joomla is super easy)
2. Upload the correct patch from Joomla to your root Joomla directory
3. Extract the compressed upgrade patch using cpanel file manager or extract them on your computer and upload the extraction to your root joomla directory
4. When you log into the back end you should see the version number top right of the admin cpanel in your joomla backend.
