Clean URLs

Anyone have any problems with changing over to clean URLs for their site? I am trying to make sure I dont screw anything up by following instructions I've found on other joomla-based sites about the change like this one:
www.hobo-web.co.uk/seo-blog/index.php/jo...e-friendly-urls-sef/
I would like to make sure I make this change before moving on with the rest of the site. Thanks!

- If should not be a problem as long as your server support mod_rewrite as described in the link you mentioned.

- thanks. clean URLs are coming up, but they are not linking to anything now matter what I do. I create new pages and new links from the menu's definition, but they link to a broken page. Only the main page comes up. Nothing links.

- just found out the server is IIS, so that is what is causing it. site is not live but on a backend server.
