I'm a newbie and need help!
I want to setup a website dedicated a particular American college football team. I want to have an open forum, have points for posts, scores, line-ups, news-feeds, surveys, and sections for ads.
I've looked over the internet and could not find very many websites like the one I'm describing either does anyone know of any sites?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

There are a number of Rockettheme templates that might meet your needs, with your customization. Are you comfortable with the various ways of adding your own artwork and arranging the layout yet?

- Actually, I've not yet downloaded any templates yet. There are so many Joomla templates and I'm having trouble deciding which one to download. Any suggestions as to which template might be a good one to start off with?

Septembers release has many new features, especially the mega-menu and integration with many 3rd party components.
In either case, you may need a 3rd party component for surveys if you wish to have something more detailed than the standard polls component. - Thanks,
