    • THE ACCESSIBLE VERSION DOESN'T WORK WITH THIS. YOU MUST INSTALL VERSION 1.0 OF JOOMLA !
I downloaded joomla and instaleld into my root directory. Everything went smooth. I try to install templates from anywhere including here and this is what happens. It seems like the template isn't using the right CSS or something is over-riding part of the CSS and using something different. For example I downloaded and installed Glosspaint and this is the result when I preview my site.

      img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/Coots82/Clarion.jpg

It's suppose to look like this :

      img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/Coots82/Demo.jpg "

If anyone has any kind of suggestion of something that I need to turn on to make this work, or a file I need or something, please let me know. I'm stuggling to find answers here. I've posted this is the glossypaint forum but nobody seems to really know what's going on. Someone please help me !

      The live site is www.theclarion.org

    • the only difference I can see is the left menu. Try specifying -menu as the module class suffix for the Main Menu in module manager. Let us know if that doesn't work

    • Nope, that didn't work either. I really am at a loss for this right now. Is it something that I've done in the install or something. I really need this fixed ASAP. I can't seem to find the answer in anything I do. Where is that Andy at ;)
Notice that my font is bigger in the middle of my web-site where the content is displayed. *cries* And if I was to make the title go further with more words it would go underneath the other title a little bit and you can't read it real well. Something is messed up somewhere. Any help will be appreciated.

The only thing I can see is that you are not using an "official" release of joomla and it may be causing your problems. From a quick read it appears that the "accessible" version does something to main body and what all else I am not sure without taking a hard look and doing some more research. This may or may not be your issue like I said but it appears to be the only thing I can see looking at your live site and pictures that would indicate anything outside of the "norm" .

If you want your frontpage to look like the demo I believe you will have to publish some more content as well as some modules to achieve that appearance (such as a newsflash and a poll) OR I may be misunderstanding your problem in it's entirety. I am not seeing any serious problems with the site. I am not sure if you have more things published that are not showing up or displaying improperly. When I visited your site there appeared to be a brief article about a city jail.....

    • I thought that 1.0.12 was an official release ? If you could link me to an official release I would gladly uninstall and re-install the right one. The problems that I'm having is this
      1) On the menu , I can't get the black menu images to appear as in the demo.
      2) On the content (your right I only have one right now.) but if you will click the title on the Home page and go to the actual content you'll notice that the Title gets REALLY big and if the title is to long it will go underneath itself. I will make it this way so you can look at my live site and see what I'm talking about.

      Thanks for the help.

Here's a link for you to look at the shot of what the site looks like with the content messed up.

    • joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/11...ble-Full_Package.zip

That's the link to the current stable release. Full package. When I am referring to your release It appears looking at your source code "generator" tag that the version you are using is a fork: IE a version that is supposed to be more accessible. A quick look around on joomla.org As far as to what exactly files have been changed from the original to make it more accessible I really do not know I do not have any experience with that particular version.
Heres what I have found out about it so far:
Accessible (a8e) Joomla! is a Joomla! fork that conforms to accessibility guidelines and standards (e.g. W3C). Table layout is removed, also popup and javascript have been converted to accessible code. A8e Joomla! will follow regular Joomla! releases.

As far as your other question posed about your main menu module styling missing the black images try putting -nav in the module class suffix.
I just saw what you meant about the article title getting huge when you click into the article....
It looks like you just added another article just now......
Ill take a peek at it again in a bit if I am still up....
