Posted 14 years 7 months ago
    • Hey all.

I want to change out my template but I want to with the rocketlauncher because of the fact I dont have to customs anything. I have content on my site and dont want to lost it. What is the best way to do this?? What if i install joomla on my computer and copy it over to my server? Would that be the best way??

    • Thanks cdavis.

Another question. If I want to install the new template and test it on my website, ex. test.mysite.com, how do I set this up?

    • the easiest way to do this is just install the rocket launcher in a sub-folder of your current website (i.e. yourdomain.com/omnicron) Of course you will also need a new MySQL DB for this joomla install.

If you want to install a subdomain like: omnicron.yourdomain.com the exact method will differ depending on your hosting account setup. If it is the standard cpanel, you just need to add a sub-domain.
