  • Extension Filename with Version?

    • I was wondering if it would be possible to include the version number into the file name for Joomla extensions?

      For example the file name could be mod_roktabs-1.15.zip instead of mod_roktabs.zip.

      This would allow me to quickly identify the newest version in my download directory.

      Just an idea... :)

    • That was the way of doing things for a while but it really just confused things when it came to updates and packing things up.

      I have a directory for each extension and then directories within that are the version number. Then I download to that versions directory. Then I know what version I have at a glance.
