    K2 Styling

    • How come RT doesn't take the time to make an effort to add a little styling for K2 in the new templates? Every other mainstream themer is doing just a tweak here and there to make it fit more into the overall template theme.

    • What exactly are you looking for? K2 Styling has been in the design for probably 6 months. If you look at the details page of the template, on the bottom you will find.

      Third Party Extensions Compatibility Styling

Syndicate has compatibility styling for 7 major third party extensions: K2, JComments, Contact Form Enhanced, Tienda, NinjaBoard, Virtuemart and JomSocial.

The extensions will not be included in the RocketLauncher package, but can be download / purchased from the developers of each extension, and installed. Remember to activate Third Party Styling in Admin → Extensions → Template Manager → rt_syndicate_j15 → Advanced

      Cheers!

    • Clearly you have not been paying attention to either K2 or RT templates the past 6-8 months. Take a look backwards and you will see that K2 looks exactly the same in the latest release of RT as it did 8 months ago. Then take a look at Joomlart, JoomlaBamboo or Shape5 and pay attention to how K2 looks like it actually is part of the template instead of a dropped in component. It's not much, but the subtlety of it makes the entire package that much more attractive. For the record, RT does not do any styling for the other components shown in the image above (save for VM, back in early '09 they did Mynxx). Just because the templates play nice and integrate the components in does not mean they are styled in.
