I'm totally new at this and want to get a template that will most easily fit my needs. Does anyone know of a template that will come close (see below) or is easiest to play around with?
1) I want my design to have a header that has a fixed size image across the whole width (preferably one that I could insert an animated gif or flash file or something, but not necessary. Around 760 pixels)
2) Suckerfish menus
3) The header image will continue down the left side of the page, just to the right of other menu boxes (polls, RSS, etc.)
4) Transparent menu boxes and a background image (or at least just a background image
5) earth tone colours
6) if possible a fixed width footer image
It'll look like this:

There are multiple Rocket Theme templates that would serve your needs, I suggest that you have a look at the
RT Demo
and try the various templates.

- I have looked through those... and I've uploaded one of the themes that would work best (Bentobox). The problem is that when I look at the header image that came with the package, it's just the top left corner of the image, it's not the whole width. That's my main problem
