Hi
i have moxy template on joomla, there is shopping button also on my site i want to install mymxx template for this, is this possible that when i click the shopping button on moxy template the mymxx templates comes up in new window,
Please tell me the steps to install these two templates on single joomla installation.
also my joomla was hacked one time, please tell the way to avoid this.
should i install some firewall etc or isthere some other way to pprotect the site on a server,
Please suggest some good firewall or other solution for security.

Hi Niju,
Running two or more templates on a site is possible. Here are the steps...
1.) Install the required templates.
2.) Set one template as the default. In your case Moxy
3.) Open the second template - Mynxx - and to the left you will see a list of menu items to which you can assign the template. In your case the menu item will be the one for the shop.
4.) Save the Mynxx template and you are done.
The default shows for all items where there is no other template assigned.
As for the hacking, there are several approaches. The first and most important is to keep your installations up to date. Are you running Joomla 1.5.21 - If not then you are leaving yourself open to attack. You also need to keep up to date with components and modules. Many people install and forget to check for updates.
I personally use a Joomla component called OSE PHP Joomla! Anti-Hacker which is a paid for product but it saves me from major problems. It does need you to update the signatures regularly.

doing so the theme gets applied but the data remain of moxy template, i want that on cliicking on shop button the mynxx template open in new window and with the sample data like i see on rockettheme site of mynxx template so that i can edit that.
Like Product category, Currency Selector, cart, login etc
The menu/header and footer remain same but the middle portion should look like mynxx template only

I'm not sure I am understanding you correctly
Are you saying you want to have a separate site with Mynxx and sample data which is then opened in a new window by the menu on the main site?
If this is what you mean, then yes it can be done by creating a sub-domain on your main site and setting up the Mynxx Rocket Launcher to the sub-domain. On the main site you add a menu link to an ecternal url and use the link to the sub-domain.
If you are asking that all the template is same as the main site except for the mainbody which should be the Mynxx version of Virtuemart then this would be a major template conversion and would be outside of our support. You could advertise this task in our Marketplace forum board to try and find someone to do this conversion for you.
If I have misunderstood your questions entirely then please provide more details with images of what you are trying to achieve.

Using Rocket Launcher to set up on a sub-domain will give you a copy of the RT demo site.

Actally i want to purchasing a joomla firewall and seo product which have single instalation on one joomla instaltion thats why i want that mynxx and moxy should remain on single joomla instalation.
Can you also suggest me some good seo component for joomla SEO

SEO is down to personal preference and experience. You will get many answers from many people, all different
I use sh404SEF which is a subscription product and I am happy with it. You must review what is available, look at the individual developer forums, and make a decision on what is best for you.
