    • Hi all,

      I am a Joomla newbie and I have purchased the ColorMatic template which is cool. Now I would like to start inserting the different contents. One reason to buy this template for me was that I can use many different module positions. However, mostly I would like to use these module positions for text. Now I was thinking if I have to create a new module for each text or is there a way to assign static text to any module position? I guess it might not be the right approach to create a new module for text only.

      Can somebody help?

    • Static content can be placed in any position.
      One can also place Articles in modules, however a Joomla! extension is needed for this.

      Sure you can create a new module for whatever text you want and set it to whatever position that you desire as well as being able to have that module appear in that position on whatever page(s) that you choose. Have a look at this thread and I suggest having a read through the Joomla! Manual .

    • You will need to make a separate module for each piece of text unfortunately.

      However you can download certain modules that will automatically pull text from articles as Roland pointed out.

      Depends if you want dynamic text in these positions or really truly static text.

      I like Content Item Manager and Display New by BK--both on this page:

      extensions.joomla.org/component/option,c...it,10/limitstart,10/

      You can make several copies of either or both to publish in various places.
