  • My web site is very slow

    • I have built 2 web sites, one is built with Mixx template and the other with Dominion. It works fine, but the problem is that there are very slow and the 2 sites have about 50 visitors daily. I dont think that the problem is in the server, but something is wrong either with my templates or the databases.

      Please help me

    • Your website loads pretty ok, but It can be optimized. Try installing Yslow on Mozilla. It can help you find your weak points.

      Here is a brief report:
      Grade F on Make fewer HTTP requests
      This page has 20 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one.
      This page has 9 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one.
      This page has 73 external background images. Try combining them with CSS sprites.

    • Look into RokGZipper. It should solve some of your problems, but don't hurry into it. First read carefully and decide what is the best option for you.
      There is a topic here on RT on this subject , but I can't find it right now. Maybe some of the more experienced users could point you to it.

      I already used Gzipper. Now I disabled it. The site is still slow.

      I read now a lot of stuff. It comes down to me that it is not so easy for me to speed up the site by myself. So if anybody could help me out doing it for me? I could help him with a contribution via Paypal.

      Also, there is a problem with the menu. LTE-Dellys--> submenu E-learning---> the 2 points joomla1.5 and "le site du zero: does not open when pointing on "E-learning"

      Only when coming from downwards it opens...???

      Any suggestions or issues? Thanks for helping.
