Anyone using Zoo instead of K2 in Paradox?

Nobody, huh? Interesting.
Anybody here who can speak to their expiences with K2 then? I read a thread on the Joomla.org forums a while back about how K2 represented a critical piece of Joomla 2.0 (which implied that 1.6 was a waste of time.) I'm not sure I can endorse that sentiment but it definitly seems like upgrading to 1.6 with 1.7 as supposedly the first timed (6 months?) release might be something I could hold off on... Especially with nested categories provided by K2 or Zoo.
It seems like the inclusion of K2 support in Paradox represents an endorsement by RT in the way that the JomSocial seemed to be endorsed. Personally I have lost much of my enthusiasm for JomSocial. specifically because they lagged so long on updating their Facebook Connect functionality to include the ability to post things to a users wall... But I digress.
Mostly I'm interested to know how RT power users feel about K2 as opposed to Zoo. I know Zoo is a competitor in the commercial template space. But that doesn't make Zoo inferior. What do people here think? :cheesy:
