RokNewRotator, Premalink and domain/Wordpress transition

Hi all,
Just ran out of my RocketTheme support account without ever needing to use support.
Untill now.
Wordpress install in the mydomain/wordpress folder.
I wanted to have premalink style urls (mydomain/wordpress/premalinkmagic) so added the needed premalink config. All worked fine including the RokNewsRotator in my Terran Tribune template.
But I wanted the urls to look even better. Not mydomain/wordpress/premalinkmagic but mydomain/premalinkmagic.
Went through the howto page ( codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory ) to get the config right on both the newly copied .htaccess and index.php file to my domain root folder. And to be clear, in my case I did not have to move the Wordpress install into it's own subfolder ofthe domain as this was already the case.
So added the wordpress config line to the root index.php file and added the premalink output to the root .htaccess file. Left both files in the wordpress root folder untouched.
The site loads up fine. All static pages are fine. Only the RokNewsRotator pages do not show up.
If I set Premalink back to default the RokNewsRotator pages do show up.
What am I missing here to make it work?
