Joomla question how to remove the table ( PHP register_globals )

Hello everybody,
i would like to know how to remove the red table who is in the first page of the administrator page.
It is a table with a warning : "Parameters PHP register_globals is `ON` instead of `OFF`"
My webhosting is not compliant with this parameter so even if i modified the global.php it change nothing.
So i just would like to know in wich file can i remove this ugly red table ?

change your host is my advice - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

I am not sure if GX read that wrongly. I would have thought it would have been legal to change your Joomla! to not load the box. Maybe he read it as changing your servers php settings without their knowledge.

yes register_globals is a very high security risk.
joomla is GNU/GPL software. It is entirely legal to modify joomla in any way you wish. - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

i have no choice GollumX
my webhosting company is the only one in france specialized in PHP hosting...
All the other cannot handle well joomla. and also have the PHP register_globals on

Don't use a host in France then
www.rochen.com has their servers configured for Joomla! I believe. (have a look at the bottom of any www.joomla.org page and you will see that rochen is their host).
www.hostgator.com is another host that members have related positive experiences with.

is there a reason why you need your host to be in france?
there are a few good hosts just across the Channel.
anyway, I think you'll get an answer to this at the Joomla forum as I doubt anyone here has needed to do this and knows how. Of course someone might be willing to dig this up for you. Good luck Christian.
