Resolved - In maelstrom - cannot change size of logo

Posted 14 years 4 months ago
    • I am new to RT and i'm having fun thus far however, try as I might, I cannot change the settings for the size of the logo shown on this page. www.businesssitedesign.com/custom-services .

      The logo itself is 616 x 70px

I have played with the CSS files but no luck yet. Can someone point to the stetting I must change please?

      thanks

    • OK, don't know why but when I changed the source file from a .gif to a .png, the image shows up as desired.

Love to know why if anyone can tell me.

      Thanks

    • The template is coded to display 'logo.png' in the logo position.

As is 'logo.gif', 'logo.jpg', 'logo.jpeg', 'logo.bmp', etc. won't display unless you change the extension in the path to the logo to reflect the new file extension.

For future reference, an alternative is to turn off the logo in the Template Manager then place your logo in a Custom HTML Module and publish it to (in this case) header-a.

That way, you can place any type of image, regardless of its file type / extension in the Module and have it display properly.

Because you are publishing a module in that position it will display whatever image is in it as opposed to the template looking for a specific image with a specific extension that is coded into the template.

If you need more help with Maelstrom, please post here:

    • That's simpler than previous templates I have worked with.

You have to be an active user to access template specific forums.

      Perhaps your subscription has expired?

If you just subscribed and can't access, log off, clear your cookies and cache, and try logging in again.

If your subscription has expired (you are not showing as an active member) it's time to renew (or sign up).

Anyway if you are a current member and the suggestions I have provided don't work, I suggest contacting support directly.

Thanks, tried that but it doesn't work. I am an active member (just signed up) and I am able to download templates but there is something fishy with the forum....

I am now talking to Support to solve this.
