Hi there,
It is a shame that you feel disappointed about your membership but I can assure you that there has been no deception about what your chosen membership provides.Pet Natividad wrote:
I am really disappointed with your membership and feel that I have been deceived. I have tried different template membership but never have I been mislead like this before.
Most members take time to check what is available, look at documentation, check some tutorials and generally browse the site. Most of them will take time to look at the terms and conditions too.Pet Natividad wrote:
Before purchasing my membership I went through the different tutorial videos and documentation. Frequently phrases like
"Perfect Replica of demo"
"Exact implementation of Demo
images, extension,content module "
This
video
specially emphasizes both visually and verbally these pointers.
The video does indeed say that the Rocket Launcher includes the demo images but that video was released in the first part of 2008. The video is an example of how to install Rocket Launcher, and back then the demo images were supplied. Unfortunately too many people ignored the information provided in the
Terms of Service
, especially point 11...
Content used in our Demos and RocketLaunchers are used for demonstration purposes only and should not be used in any live environment without the express permission of RocketTheme or any other copyright holder.
As a result it became necessary to ensure that all Rocket Launcher packs had the demo images replaced with dummy images.

NONE of the downloadable Rocket Launcher repack are close to or a "Perfect replica of the demo." There are no images and lay out are not the same.
I have just installed 6 Rocket Launcher packs and I fail to see any layout difference between them and the demo site. The Rocket Launchers are created from the demo site but just have the images changed. The only other difference is if we have added a 3rd party component to demonstrate styling.

Secondly, the newest template, social network -Tachyon, requires you to purchase a $200 JomSocial module to even function as advertised. A very sneaky and deceiving marketing strategy. The demo very clearly illustrates that this is the major component of this module which should NOT be demo'd or advertsised with JomSocial if it does not come with it.
On the latest demo there is an advert on the Home page showing that JomSocial is a paid for product and it highlights a discount for RT members. If JomSocial was an important element for your purchase then I am sure you would have visited the
JomSocial menu item
to find out more. You could not fail to notice the big notice explaining that JomSocial is a 3rd Party Product. Here is the content of that notice...
JomSocial is a commercial / paid 3rd party component for Joomla. Therefore, it is not available with the Tachyon RocketLauncher, nor from RocketTheme directly. In order to use JomSocial, you will need to purchase it from Azrul.com. We are running a special promotion where you can save up to $50 off of your JomSocial purchase by using our exclusive 35% off RocketTheme coupon (Members Only).

I'm sorry but this kind of marketing is just not acceptable, unproffesional and very dishonest.
I'm asking for a refund or if not I will file for a chargeback due to false advertising.
Good luck with your membership
I fail to see how you can claim our marketing is unprofessional or dishonest. Everything is clearly explained in the member guides, frequently asked questions and terms of service. If you had read these and seen the 2008 video then you would have been aware that there was a difference and could have made enquiries before making your purchase.
I hope this clarifies some of the concerns you have.
