    .htaccess and SEO friendly Question

Posted 14 years 3 months ago
    • If I have a site that has NOT been using SEO friendly urls but has AWESOME rankings on the longer index.php?com_content type links...

will changing to SEO friendly URLS lose those links and make them dead? or will those older links still work while hte SEO friendly is turned on?

    • I wouldn't change to SEF URLs as you already have nice rankings and Google finds everything on your site. The old links will still work but i'm sure it will only confuse the Googlebot and you will probably see duplicate content.
