Solved - How to change the RocketTheme branding - Maelstorm

Posted 14 years 2 months ago
    • Hi there,

I've worked with a lot of RocketTheme templates, but I wanted something extra in my template.
So I decided to use my company's logo instead of the RocketTheme branding.

(I'm using the Maelstorm template for this one)
So now I replaced the branding.png file with my own logo but I just can't figure out where I can change the destination when clicking on it.

      Example: spanje.goldstar-studios.nl/
In the footer you'll see Adfo Media logo. (This is just an example site that I set-up for this)

Can someone tell me how? When you click on it, I want to go to my company's website, and not RocketTheme.

      Thank you,
      Enrico

    • Thank you so much! It worked!
Also, when I load the page, sometimes it gives me an error message or doesn't load the page correctly.

I get this on all my websites now in the goldstar-studios.nl domain.
      Any idea why?

      Thanks

      This is the error message:

      Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

      Apache/2 Server at spanje.goldstar-studios.nl Port 80

    • Hi,

      1) are the all Joomla sites
      2) Are the permissions all: files = 644 and folders = 755
      ?

    • All permissions are 777. But it doesn't make a difference. And yes, all the sites are Joomla.
But it's just on my Goldstar-studios domain. Not on my other domains...
Does that have to do with the server then?

    • I am a bit confused at this point. You said earlierEusmane wrote:

but now you are saying it is only one site. Is that correct?Eusmane wrote:

jfyi, having everything 777 is an extremely unsafe setting and you will more than likely be hacked by those that have crawlers looking for such easy prey.

I would check with your host on that 404 and if the permissions are automatically going to 777 you need to talk with the host about this also. That is really not safe.

Hi, this really is unrelated to the original post so please start a new topic (in the appropriate forum) if you have any further questions regarding the logo feature, beyond the advice I offer below.
      thanks.

You can simply replace the file logo.png located here: templates/rt_maelstrom_j15/images/logo/style8/

of course change the style# to match whatever style # you are using.

Or you can disable the the Logo feature in the "Features" tab of the Gantry template manager and create a module to place your logo however you like.

If you need help learning how to use fireworks to edit the logo source file you can go to the demo template tutorials page here: demo.rockettheme.com/jan11/tutorials/logo-editing
