Try taking a look at the Juxta demo - is this the sort of effect you mean?
This is achieved by css code as shown below...
There is also code required for positioning the text but all of that can be seen in the demo if you use Firebug..module-title .title { background: url("../images/body/modules/style2/module-title-icon.png") no-repeat scroll 12px 20px transparent; }
