How to load all templates NOT separately?

Hi,
I wonder how to download all available templates in one file? Or is a member expected to download file by file in several hours?
BTW: In my opinion it is not a good idea to prevent customers from entering the template specific forums after 12 months because they could still profit from other customer´s questions that already habe been answered.

You have to download them separately. There is no "master" file. Several hours! - you may have a slow internet connection or be some distance from the RT server to take long.
Also, do you really need to download them all?

It does not depend on a slow internet connection but on the fact that one indeed has to click and save each file of the available templates after having set up a corresponding directory on the local hd.Ulrike Pflaum wrote:

The reason it is not setup that way as it is an unpractical solution. Each month, every single template, source, extension would have to be re-packaged. Also, everytime an update is given to at least one of the 100s of different files, another repackage. This is just not viable.
It would also be a drain on the site with lots of people, instead of download small, few 100KB packages - large, MB packages.
It would be great in an ideal situation but it just not present at this point in time. - Last Edit: 17 years 10 months ago by James Spencer.

most customers don't need to download every template. you can use the demo site to pick the template you like, then download it and implement it on your site.
i'm sure if there was demand for the "package" you are talking about andy would consider it, but for not, it's just not practical. - Billy Zoellers
