    • I attempted to do it and I got an error: Failed to move uploaded file to /media directory.

    • It is not a component but a complete joomla install :)

    • Have you read the joomla manual?

You do not seem to have installed joomla correctly.

If you installed the template.tgz file and there were no errors when you did so, everything has been uploaded correctly, including all css, all images etc.

Even if you set up your template correctly and your site is running well, your site will not be a success unless you read the manual.

I don't mean to be a prick, i'm just trying to help. It is imperative that you read the joomla administrators manual.

    • LOL I was about to say..

James, it's way more difficult for newbies to install Rocketlauncher :)

      Fantastico is easy as pie.

RocketLauncher is better suited to those who already have a good understanding of web administration... ie FTP, cpanel to unzip the template and to set up a database and database user etc

I like to throw people in the deep end, they always end up learning to swim :D

Ive learnt to stop using Fantastico, its really handy when you just want to have a joomla install in seconds but there is always something missing or not quite right like saying I had Joomla! 1.0.12 when it was "much older" :D

    • So chances are, Fantastico didn't install it correctly?

    • Stephan, fantastico would have done it fine if you say you had it working (apart from menu and not looking like demo.)

Whatever the case, you seem to have deleted stuff.

Open fantastico and delete joomla, then reinstall, when you have done so, install versatility_iii.tgz and let us know when it's up. we can help then.

    • I did. I changed the area it's in. It's now in www.weatherdiscussions.com/main/

My main concerns are the menus. Notice the side menus are not colored as seen on the demo. Is the stuff I have to do and whatnot?
Also the control panel has nothing on it... ???
