Help with inputbox drop down select colors. Gantry template

- I have a RocketTheme Gantry Zephyr Template and need help fixing a input box font color issue.
  
  The problem lies with a drop down list-box.
  
  All my drop downs have a white box with white text in them.
  I want to make the text dark or change the drop-down box color so I can read the text areas.
  
  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have changed almost everything I could find regarding a inputbox in my template.css file
  
  Here is a link for an example of what I see.

  Checkout the small Display# drop down box. IE is colored until you drop it down to select. Firefox does ok. Chrome is all white in both areas.

- add this at the bottom of your template.css file:
  select option {background-color: #503232;}

- That worked for IE and Firefox.
  In Google Chrome the Dropdown box background changed but the initial box before you click on it is still the white on white.
  
  Any special things we can do for Chrome?

- add this at the bottom of your template.css file:
  html body #rt-page-background select, select option {background-color: #503232;}

- Added the new one and the box is still white with white font. The actual options area is good now!
  This is still in Chrome.
  IE9, Safari and Firefox are good!

- have you cleaned the Joomla cache? Please disable all caching and compression (e.g. RokGzipper plugin) until this issue is resolved.

- OK just tested this. add this at the bottom of your template.css file:
  html body #rt-page-background select, select option {background: #503232 !important;}
  save and clean cache.
