    Site ignores wrapper?

Posted 17 years 10 months ago
    • I'm not sure if this is a Joomla issue or Rockettheme issue (Colormatics)...

At my web site I have a menu item that goes to a wrapped external photo portfolio site. It worked perfectly with Gallery2 but when I changed the link to SmugMug the wrapper disappears. Is this something that SmugMug is doing? Any way to fix?

Site is http://www.montarafog.com?Joomla  -- click on "Photo Album" to see issue.

      Thanks,

    • Sorry...had a question mark instead of a slash in the site name...here is the corrected link:

      www.montarafog.com/Joomla

It tries to load in the wrapper at first then breaks out....

    • Ahhh there you go.

Thanks Mack, though I assumed that could be the case, I have never actually seen a script that does it.

    • O.K., Mack was right. SmugMug breaks the wrapper because they say on some browsers (I think they are talking mostly about IE 6, ahem) it prevents cookies from working and therefore screws up passwords, shopping carts, etc etc.

However, they have a feature where you can turn off the wrapper-breaking function--thats what I've done for now.

The question is, is there a better solution than using a wrapper? I know SmugMug allows extensive CSS customization--looks like a HUGE market here, Andy--so is there some way to port Colormatic over (i.e. easy or low $$)? Or is it essentially a start from scratch sort of deal?
