SOLVED - What are the administrator/core.9972 files for?

I am backing up my site files and there are a number of 75MB size files in the "administrator" subfolder named core.9972, core.9964, etc.
Can you tell me if those are just temp files or restore points that I can delete from the server to make my backup file sizes smaller? - Last Edit: 13 years 5 months ago by nemmar.
- NOTE to forum mods: Right-Click is disabled on my site but source code is visible. Unfortunately, I have some images on my site that are licensed and the agreement is that right-click be disabled. I use the F12 key for Firebug instead of right-click. Sorry for the inconvenience.
