Hello. I am trying to create a simple text logo for my site using the modulus template... Eventually I am going to have someone design a logo, but for now, I just need a simple text logo that matches my sites style and doesn't change the height of the menu. I do not have Adobe fireworks, so I can't follow the instructions that are shown in the tutorials provided (I do have Irfanview and GIMP though, but I really don't know how to use them).
I tried to turn off the logo using template features and assign a custom html module to the the "header a" section in order to accomplish what I need, but no matter how I size the text in the custom html module, publishing it doubles the height of the entire menu. I was hoping someone could help me do either of the 2 things:
1) Provide with me info on how to create a custom HTML module that does not increase the height of the top menu.
2) Provide a method for me to change the original logo without using fireworks.
Simply ure FireBug to locate where the logo.png (or what is you file named) is located and then go to the folder, open the file (logo.png), see the size of it, make a text, make it the same size and replace it with the logo.png (you need to save your project the same as the logotype is saved). I hope that helps.
Thank you, yes that helped to create a simple logo. I created some text, sized it the same as the logo originally found in the Modulus template and replaced the two logo files (one is saved under a "light" folder the other is under a "dark" folder, but the original Modulus template logo still shows up on the front end. I can't think of this anything to try at this point. Do you have any ideas as to why this would be happening? Could it just a long time (hrs) for the site to update after changing the file in the server? I never had that issue in the past...
