Reflex-Problem with module positions adjustment with Gantry

Posted 13 years 6 months ago
    • Hello to everyone!

I face this problem with the Gantry tools in my Reflex Template:

I have the params.ini file wrightable, and when i try to change the number of module positions at the footer field (also at other fields) and the widths of the module positions, also ,the changes do not apply to the front end, at all..... Also, the changes are not saved in the backend admin OR they are saved but they do not apply at frontend....

I tried to make the changes with my modules published or unpublished...the same happens...

How can i solve this problem?? :(

    • Does anyone knows the logic with which the module-position information from Gantry interface is saved in the params.ini ?
I'm thinking of doing the adjustments manually, by editing the params.ini file in the template folder...
Is out there anyone with this information?
      Thanks!

    • The number of postions depends on how many modules you publish.
If you have modules published in footer-a and footer-b you will have two positions.
If you have modules published in footer-a, footer-b and footer-c you will have three positions.

    • This is clear! But i cannot change the width of each module throught the GUI. It cannot save my preferences. For other positions e.g. feature , the new widths are saved and work perfect, but especially for footer and maincontent the problem is there...

    • please Henning tell me something:

Before i attempt to change the template parameters through administrator panel, at first, the params.ini is not writable (in red fonts). I change the permissions then into 777 at the server, and i save the new changes (widths) at footer modules through administration panel. Then i reload (F5) the page of the server admin panel and the params.ini is again unwritable! It seems that it switches by itself! Do you know how this can happen and if it is the cause of my problem ??

(I notice here that my 3 footer modules contain only simple text)

    • Also some new input here:

Fortunately i have already installed locally (at localhost) the same template (Reflex) with the default content, without changing anything.
Again, through the template admin panel (gantry) the footer-modules widths and the maincontent-module widths do NOT change.....
On the other hand, the feature-module and the maintop-module widths work fine!.......

Is there something wrong with the template??

    • So you used the Rocketlauncher?
Wich joomla version are you using?
      Did you check "template-copies" (J1.7) or "per-menu-item"-configurations ...?
Is still would like to have access to the backend of your installation ...
