    • This was driving me crazy...

I get the exact same problem, not with "com_content", that is joomla articles, but with K2 articles...
This happens even if I K2's Categories cannot be selected and the K2 Menus are not selected in the plugin's configuration...

As soon as I enable RokComments, the "1" shows up...

Again, in K2 Articles, the default Joomla com_content articles display fine...

    • Well, I can bypass it...
Since in my case the number does not show up in Joomla articles, on which I have based my site up till now, it's not of immediate interest to me to find a solution for the K2 issue...at some point I guess I'll switch to K2, but right now I am still testing...

But if it mattered, I would just install an alternative extension that offers Disqus Comments functionality...I would use Joomlaworks' plugin, which is the one officially endorsed by Disqus as well (their website points to Joomlaworks extension in the JED for Joomla integration)..I have already tested and it works without planting a number in K2 articles...hope it solves your issues as well
      Try it out...

    • I don't have K2... LOL !!!

In my perception this seem to be a problem with the rokcomments and my intention was to share what have been experiencing with the plugin or if you want as and improvement opportunity for the plugin. I know this is free that's maybe there no a lot of interest to solve this in short term.

Thanks for recommending use of another plugin, I tried before a few others and actually works pretty good. "NO NUMBER 1" but there is always room for improvements.

As Engineer I love to solve issues and help others to make their life easier!!!

    • Finally I found a solution, and it is strictly related with the RokComments, to rid of the Crazy number "1" i had to select a menu item not only a category item. So you need to select both Menu+category otherwise will show "1".

Still this could be a good fix for the new rokcomment revision.

    • Thanks. I had been watching this thread, but had been unable to replicate it on my local. I'll dig deeper into this menu+category thing and see if i can't come up with a fix. Cheers!
