    • The mess is having the entire Joomla 3.0 backend lockup, displaying a message that the RokGallery need Rokwhatever to operate and cannot use anything to either re-enable the RokIdiot plugin or disable RokGallery. Every link in the backend goes to that message and nothing works-- thats a fine mess to have to deal with.

The mess is having to search online for a solution, then using phpMyAdmin to enable the plugin for the backend..

I ended up just getting rid of the mess by removing RokGallery and the rest of the RokIdiot Plugins and modules, leaving only the basics to keept he site running- the template and Gantry.

Thats like installing a piece of software on a desktop computer and then removing a component and getting a message that the thing you removed need to be enabled for the thing you installed to work and the entire machine is unusable, having to boot into Safe Mode etc, and reinstall the missing software. That makes you not want to use the piece of software in the 1st place-- so you just get rid of the entire thing.. because who know what the else crazy thing is going to happen.

I should know better than to use RokGallery; it caused me a tonne of headache because it screwed up an Akeeba Backup on one of the sites i manage- end result is that on most sites i do not use RokGallery. I think that was my last straw with it.

      I cleaned up the mess.

      thank you.

Ok with the complete lack of information in what you just said I can't help you, nothing about versions for joomla, template, gantry, extensions. I guess you were just being facetious about "rokidiot". I wanted to help you but clearly I am unable to do so from what you have said.

But I'm glad you cleaned up the mess.

      Regards, Mark.
