Mobile Tutorial

    • Hello Cliff,

      I took the following steps;
      1. I installed the ximenia template
      2. I created a new menu - Menu Mobile with the same items as my Main Menu but with different aliasses.
      3. I assigned this menu to the Ximenia template and assigned the menuitems from the mobile menu to this template.
      4. Assigned the menuitems to the Mobile Menu module.

      After this it does not work. What do I do wrong?

    • I'm not sure, but there aren't that many steps. Create the menu, then go to the mobile tab in the template settings and select the menu from the Mobile Menu drop down. That's all. I just tested this on my demo and had no issues.

      If your mobile menu has the same exact items with the same names as your regular menu - it will look and work exactly the same. Changing the alias doesn't change the title of the menu item. Are you sure it's not working - or are you seeing the mobile menu and it's exactly the same as your regular menu? Try changing one of the menu item titles on your mobile menu to check.

    • I'm not sure if you understand it and if my information is complete.

      I would like to have it like this;
      normal website - Juxta template
      mobile website - Ximenia template

      Is that possible?

    • Hi, if that is what you've been asking all along, it hasn't been clear until now.

      This feature is not built into our themes. It's certainly possible, but you'll have to either do some custom programming or find an extension that provides this functionality. There are few on JED, here is one that seemed to fit the bill:
      extensions.joomla.org/extensions/mobile/mobile-display/21785

      Keep in mind this is just a recommendation, I have not used this product. We don't test our products with any third party extensions so we can't guarantee that this extension or any others will work with our products. You might want to investigate all the options before committing to something.

    • I'm having a hard time getting the standard view switch to show up. I've got the Standard View switch turned on, set to "Mobile Copyright", and I've got the Mobile Copyright module set in the Mobile Copyright position - but all that changes is now I can see an empty bar along the bottom of the screen with no switch. I've changed positions, enabled, disabled, moved things all around, read lots of forum posts and haven't been able to make the switch appear. www.TrinityGNV.org . Suggestions?

      Thanks, Kelly

    • Hi, please update the template to the latest version. This was a bug in the initial release and has already been fixed. I checked on my local demo and had the same issue - updating fixes it.

    • Dear Rockettheme,

      I am running Ximenia on my website, but the mobile standard switch button does not work (I have the first release of this theme).

      I see that this has been fixed, and I'd love to get the code, so that I can update my theme. I really would like this feature to work.

      ...and we'll get more subscriptions for more sites.. but I really need the switcher button to work (and to know that such bug fixes are free to us who already had a subscription).

    • Hi, unfortunately bug fixes are included in updates, and updates are only accessible with a current club membership. I PM'd you a fix for this, but please understand that in order to have access to the most recent updates, you must have an active membership.
