    PDF & Compatibility Issues?

Posted 12 years 10 months ago
    • I am wondering if anyone has encountered a similar situation:

      r1aqha.com/index.php/regional-championships/information-forms

The forms linked in PDF on this page are not opening for several people. 3 people reporting this problem (so far) have replied back to my questions - they are using IE9. I've searched the internet and cannot find a solution but many reports about a known compatibility issue between these two programs.

However, my 64 bit Windows 7 computer with IE9 opens the PDF's no problem so I am unable to mimic the issue at home on any of our 3 computers.

      Any suggestions?

    • This is strictly the problem with local PC configuration and the way those people have it configured to open PDF files in external applications

    • Thank you Igor - the Directors are in a panic about this. Do you have a suggestion for anything I could put on the website that would help get people sorting this out?

Or - would providing ZIP files as an alternative be useful?

I'd like them to realize that this isn't a massive problem but I'm not successful there yet.

    • I honestly don't know. This really depends on how they configured their local computers. For me this is certainly not an issue at all. They can always store those PDF files locally and open them with whichever PDF reader they have.
