Remove Menu Item Title from Page Title tab

Hi
This is my first post in my attempt to customize my template.
I would like to remove the word which by default follows the page title on the top tab. I go to Menu Manager --> Main Menu --> Home and on the right hand side, on the Page Display Options, I keep the "Browser Page Title" blank and "Show Page Heading" to no. What I want is to get rid of the default word,which is based on the menu item title.
I can see from websites that it is possible but I can't find the way. Any help?

1. post your questions in template specific parent forums

Well ok, but
a)from the search I did, I found that questions related to Page Title are in the General category and
b)I believe it is not a specific template related question but a general one and that asking it in the General Category would make it more easy, if somebody wanted to search for the topic in the future.
From Global Configuration I have given a Site Name and I selected that name to be included in Page Titles. After that name it is added,by default, a menu item word e.g. when I am at home page, in the top tab appears "Site Name" - Home, when I move to contacts the tab becomes "Site Name" - Contacts. So what I am asking is if there is a way to remove the word appearing after the Site Name.
Sorry if I didn't manage to make it clear enough from the beginning.

- Edit each menu item and set for example " " in "Browser Page Title" parameter text box. Or use some sef extension like for example, sh404sef, which will enable you to better handle link titles

Ok thanks
I used the " " in "Browser Page Title" and worked just fine but there is still a minor issue. The hyphen (‐) symbol does not disappear at the end ("Site Name" - )
Is there a way to remove this as well?

- As I said, use additional sef extension, like sh404sef if you want better handling of page and browser titles
