I have a number 1 on every page of my site. When there are articles, it falls under the line where the main heading would go. I've had a lot of people look at it with no success, everyone keeps telling me to come here so I did hoping this mystery could be solved. There was someone else working on my site, I asked him how he put it there - he said he didn't. I'm 99% sure he actually did so there must be a way of taking it off. This problem happened before..
Language files were the first to look at which were and ruled out as a possibility. Of course all of the obvious spots within the admin area. If the menu item is set to anything else other than single article, the 1 goes away.
I'm open to having a moderator or employee go into the site if need be to speed up the process.

It's the latest version of Joomla 2.5.
