    • There are heaps of options to choose from, both cost-free and commercial. I'd recommend visiting extensions.joomla.org where a whole category is dedicated to forms.

Personally, I have only ever used Performs (which I must admit, isn't the prettiest) - performs.org.au

    • I've used Performs and Chronoforms. Performs is good for a basic form. If you want more control (custom javascript, different reciepts, php, ...) use Chronoforms.
    • I use simplix, does this mean that I'm a simple guy ? :)

    • I think RSForms is the easiest. I did not have time to learn the other form extensions. I got RSForms (formerly Forme) up and running in minutes.

I have heard the same from other folk who have used it.

    • I believe it is. You need a license number.

    • Chronoforms is open source and free ( www.chronoengine.com/ ).

I've attached a txt file containing a complete configuration for a working form with a few nice addons:
      • Form check for required fields
      • Show image verification only to visitors, not registred users
      • Add dynamic email addresses and a dynamic subject
      • Template to send the email

Everything is commented, so make sure to read the comments (especially in the Form HTML).

EIT: woops, wrong version attached. Corrected.

    • I have used several of the free form generators but prefer to use phil-a-form found at phil-taylor.com . It's easy and it just works.
