    • Hey Wayne,

      The colors first - when you are in the administrator section of the site on the top menu go to
      Site > Template manager > Site templates there you should see the name of the Versatility template. Select the button on the left and then go to the large menu on the top right and select edit html. That will open up the index.html file of the template. The following picture image should show you what you will see and what to change: www.elysiandesigns.com/index.jpg

      Second - RG_Emulation first - In your root folder where your site is hosted look for a file called globals.php if you download it you can edit it. Here you need to search for the following code:

      define( 'RG_EMULATION', 1 );

      and change it to
      define( 'RG_EMULATION', 0 );

      Then upload it back to your host.

      Third - Do you want to change the logo to something new or change the letters to read the name of your site? If you just want the letters changed let me know what style and what you want it to say and I would be glad to change it for you.

      Fourth - Once you get these done I will show you how to add a slide show and pics.

      Most of these things you can do with a little assistance and I would be glad to help.

    • The following image should help you add a link and change the date:

      www.elysiandesigns.com/link-date.jpg

      You can edit on the actual front page of the site id you are logged in as the super admin. You would see little flag type icons on the screen. Click them and a wysiwyg editor opens up.

    • I am not sure why you are not getting messages. Maybe it is a setting in your account, but I assure they were sent.

      Whether they help or not is another matter.

    • I am trying to help one of our RT members named Wayne with his site, but for some reason he doesn't receive my PMs. So as a last resort I posted my instructions for him here. They are specific to what he asked and kinda clunky so not exactly juiced to post them here, but oh well.

    • It shows me as the Super Administrator but I don' see any flag icons to click on. I saw how to change the date I was trying to change. As far as my header, I guess for now, I would just like to change where it says Versatility III to Real Estate Investors and Landlords Club. Can the box that says "Open Source Matters" be used for a slide show of homes ?

      you will need to edit the logo for it to say Real Estate investors. (you can download the source PNG files from the download page)

      As for the open source matters (is this a new install of joomla?)

      if so then it is probably the original open source matters banner that comes preinstalled.

      you wont be able to make this into a slideshow, but you can replace it with a slide show.

      Firstly you will need to find a slideshow you would like to use, install it and publish it.
      you will do this by using the joomla backend.

      to install - see installers > modules
      to publish see modules > site modules
      hope that helps
