    • Hello,

I wondered if anyone could suggest a method to reset joomla article its from within Joomla 2.5.7?

I have looked at a few modules but they dont install, as i get the error.

      Warning: Failed to move file!

sounds like a permissions or FTP info issue.

The simple reset hits admin module installed fine for me but that only seems to reset all article's hits You can also do this on a case by case basis with SQL queries in phpmyadmin see this
      www.cmsmind.com/joomla-1-7-tips-how-to-r...-article-hitscounts/

the permissions are set as 755,

as its been a test site i need to reset all articles.

    • these are still unwritable

      /home/SNIPPED/public_html/logs (Log directory) Unwritable
      /home/SNIPPED/public_html/tmp (Temp directory) Unwritable

I will need FTP access to see what is going on here.

Alternatively you can contact your hosting support and ask them to look at your permissions for those folders. Sometimes, depending on server setup, ownership can get changed as a over-zealous security measure.

Just checked permissions on those files and they are both set as 755, is this correct?
