    combining smf and joomla

    • hey guys... i think this is the best place for this question since this site uses joomla *and* smf.
I've seen sites like this that combine joomla and smf and from what I understand it uses the smf *user account* part of the code and ditches the joomla part?
either way... what I'm wondering is... how does an install like that affect the ability to use some of the other components and modules that use or interact with joomla's user database.
For example, the community builder one or the josCommerce one. (i've read both of these use different or modified account databases rather than the joomla one)
Is it possible to combine smf with joomla and *also* do something like the community builder or josCommerce too?
hopefully someone in the "club" knows the answer before I try it myself.
      Thanks.

    • I'm not familiar with josCommerce, but I think Joomla, SMF, & CB would be a snap. Orstio's bridge currently on version 1.14 has options to integrate the three.
