Template club : clear password & garanty questions

Hello,
I've just bought a subscription to Template Club, thanks for your nice templates. I have some questions though :
- I was really surprised to see your confirmation email contained the clear (not encrypted) password to my account. This is a very bad pratice, you should feel bad about this, and stop doing it.
- What happens in the (sad) case where RocketTheme disappear ? Technically, if nothing is done I guess all the websites running your templates would be unreachable. I see nothing about this issue in the help and doc sections. I know it's not a happy thing to think about but I would appreciate having a clear statement about what would be done in this case.

Hi there,
I will pass the information about passwords back to the correct people.
As your membership gives you access to the templates and you load them to your site server they would still function if the RocketTheme team were abducted by aliens and their servers all converted to energy cells for the alien mothership. :cheesy:

Here's hoping that the RT Team DON'T get abducted by aliens at any point in the near future.

I thought the entitlements were directly linked to RT servers, am I wrong ? How does entitlements work, technically ?

- entitlements are not linked to RT servers.
- our templates "don't phone home" and check if the usage is legal or not.
- there is nothing technical about entitlements.
- the templates work offline in your local closed environment without issues for example.
- your total available entitlements appear under Account → My Subscriptions.
However, there is no facility to register particular sites with entitlements, you will need to track your own entitlement usage ...

How can you track how many entitlements people use ? By trusting them ? :shock:

It is worth noting that we do occasionally find members abusing that trust and we do request compliance when we discover those offences.
Having said that, most of our members recognise the great value for money our subscriptions offer and work within their subscription entitlements. Yet another reason why the member community at RocketTheme are so good
